Clayton 2002

September 28th, 2002

Once again TSOS is hosting the Clayton show. This year it is Saturday September 28th and have we got some stuff happening this year! Here is the schedule.

9:00 AM - Registration starts for the day
10:00 AM - SLAP dB competition starts
1:00 PM - dB Drag competition starts
When dB drag finishes the trophies and raffle will commence.

So there are two formats to choose from this year. SLAP dB and dB Drag. Both offer great competition and are tons of fun. You WILL get hooked! Both formats will have trophies for 1st - 3rd in each offered class. There will also be 2 High SPL trophies. One will be for SLAP dB and the other will be for dB Drag. They are a 37" three post design.

This event will count to the 2002 dB Drag Final and the 2003 SLAP dB Championship. It is the last weekend to accrue points for the dB Drag Final so come out and play.

The new "Mini Street" class in dB Drag will also be offered. "Mini Street" will have the exact same rules as Street Class except the old street power rules are in effect. You are allowed 600 watts RMS or less in Mini Street 1-2 and 1200 watts RMS in Mini Street 3-4. The RMS value used will be the RMS value of the amp stated by the manucacturer at its lowest safe ohm load. For example, a Lanzar 1200D would be fine for Mini Street 3-4, but not for Mini Street 1-2.

The dB Drag and SLAP dB competitions will be held in conjunction with the Clayton Chamber of Commerce's classic car show. The show features many custom and stock vehicles from years gone by. The two most popular attractions are the Exhaust Wars and the burnout contest. Provided is a link to the webpage the had in the year 2000. I know it isn't the current webpage, but most of the activities are the same and it will give an idea of what the car show is all about.
