Carl's First Stereo

This was Carl's first stereo system. It was bought and installed by Steve Smith at SS Electronics in the Spring of 1999. It remained in it's pictured state pretty much until the Clayton show of 2000 in which he blew both subs. Shortly after that he dismantled the mini wall.

The install was very nicely done. He had both amps and a distribution block in his spare tire well covered in plexi. His subs were IB mounted in a plexi mini wall located where the rear seats fold down. For special effects he had blue lights in his trunk to give the whole install an eerie glow to it. As a whole it was a nice looking install.

He competed in 3 events that year with a high of 135.5 at a Circuit City show in Vestal. He may have gotten higher but the main cicuit breaker under the hood blew during the run. During the competition season he swapped out his Power Acoustik amp for a US Amps USA 150.
